We’re collecting all the equipment, tools and mosquito spray we’ve been advised we’ll need on the trip. Here it is, a growing pile in the corner of the front room.
We’ve even had the camping chairs up to test them out too and the cat, Griff has been enjoying sitting in them.
We’re trying to find the balance between feeling comfortable that we have stuff we might need, versus not buying too much stuff that we’ll never use.
As we’re also planning for our pre-trip to the Lake District (4×4 driving training weekend), followed by trip through France and Spain in October, we’re deciding what we need for that trip, to test out that equipment works and we know how to use it. Other stuff we’ll only need for the main trip.
Also trying to remind ourselves that the planning of it all might be the best part of all.
