The drive from Salamanca to Tarifa was long, but such a pleasant contrast with the rainy and windy drive from San Sebastián to Salamanca the day before, which also involved traffic heavy with ‘Christmas drivers’
it was good to be back in beautiful Andalusia with the distinctive bulls advertising Osbourne sherry standing proud against the blue sky, cactus plants lining the roads and bottles of local olive oil along the bar.

We spent a couple of days in Tarifa, the southern most point of Europe, where the Atlantic meets the Mediterranean.

We stocked up with food and fuel and repacked Lenny so we know where everything is before taking the ferry from Tarifa to Tanger in the morning.

Very intrepid! I half believed you when you suggested you might spend Christmas in Tarifa. Bukra fih l’mishmish بكره في المشمش
Sounds amazing already and you haven’t left Europe yet!
